Connecting to MCM
You can connect to MCM via any standard telnet client, or any
MUSH-specific client, as well as most MUD clients.
If you're looking for a good MUSH client, there are a number available.
- JamochaMUD is easy to use and
uses Java, so it can be used on most platforms.
- MUSHClient is a frequently
used Windows MUSH client.
- Tinyfugue is the old
standby for Unix and Linux systems, and is text based, but powerful.
Windows and Mac OS X ports also exist.
- PuTTY is not a dedicated MUSH
client, but is an excellent telnet/SSH client for Windows which can also
be used for MUSHing.
- zMUD and cMUD are two popular
clients for Windows. cMUD is the successor to zMUD.
- SimpleMU is another
popular client for Windows.
- The Mac OS MUD Zone is not a
client, but it is a web site that gathers Mac specific information for
MUSH and MUD users. It lists several clients.
- As a last resort, you can try the telnet application that came with
your system. Call up a command prompt and type telnet mcmush.org
5001 - however, it is strongly recommended you
use a regular MUSH client unless you know what you are doing or have no
other alternative. Raw telnet can have odd things that come up if you
don't know what you're doing.
